“Coach Frozen, I have a question for you. Coming into this game, The Texans were known to be great at rushing and not one of the best when it comes to the passing attack, your team held Mixon to 2.5 ypc but your defense allowed Tyreek Hill to go for 224 yds on 3 rec. How do you explain this blunder in the loss?”

“I’m going to be honest, I think some of my players just don’t want to succeed, I had told them since we got back from our game against the Jags that what they needed to do was limit the deep ball by Stroud. I think they didn’t care one bit and it showed, I’m not the fastest person since I’m not on the field but I would never allow someone that good to get behind me. My players didn’t think the same though and you could see the results with how they seemed to just allow not only Tyreek but also Quez Watkins to just get behind them while they sat flat footed the entire route. I’m disappointed by the secondary in this one. They lost us the game. No more questions.”

That was the only words that Coach Frozen would say about the loss after his team was unable to get a td in the final couple of minutes in the game. Leading the team to not only a 1-3 record right now but also 1-2 in division play currently. They lost at home 24-18 to the Texans.

The offense of the Titans wasn’t that bad yet again with Will Levis going 12-16 166 yds with 2 tds-0 ints and a 147.3 QBR. He played a great game yet again but he didn’t get as much help as he would need with the rushing attack.

DJ Giddens was given the opportunity to shine with the OC thinking he could have a breakout game but was unable to get what the team was looking for as he was only able to tally 30 yds on 12 attempts. He was the leading rusher and the rest were not much better in the loss.

The receiving core was able to produce whenever they got the ball with Chig leading the team with 3-50 and a td to go with it. Treylon Burks was able to burn the man defense and get a beautiful pass from Levis that he was able to take 43 yds to the house on his only catch. Jha’Quan Jackson was solid when he was looked at with him tallying a nice 3-38 while also getting a 9 yd rush. Amari Cooper was more silent in this game catching only 2 passes for 25 yds.

The oline played nice giving up only 1 sack off of a blitz and gave Levis enough time to play safe with the ball.

The tale of 2 defenses

The front seven of the defense showed up in the loss, allowing one of the best rushers in Mixon to just 51 yds on 20 carries and 1 td that the team had stopped but was unable to keep Mixon down long enough for the play to be blown dead. Cedric Gray led the team in tackles when he went in after the devastating 4 week injury that Ernest Jones suffered in the game. JTS and Myjai Sanders both tallied FF and Simmons and Sweat both got a half sack.

The secondary of the team was disappointing on almost every play that they were in, they weren’t covering the receivers well and despite some good plays in the run game, they were atrocious in the passing game with how many times they allowed a player on the Texans to just run on by without any attempt to stop them. A grandma baking cookies would have been able to do a better job in coverage then these players did and it showed with how the team lost with 4 huge plays that tallied 295 yds alone that the secondary allowed to happen.

Despite the record, the offense has looked a lot better and they are looking to keep that momentum as they go and face the Dolphins next week with an upset looking in their minds.
