This trade did not happen last week, but it deserves an article. Earlier I said that the Colts were arguably the best defense. Well, the actual best defense goes to the Titans. And their defense is now better after they picked up Roquan Smith in a trade with the Ravens. The Titans traded their 2026 1st-round, Javonte Williams, and Monty Rice, Rodger McCreary for Smith.
Honestly, I think the Titans clearly won this trade. In no world do I see this trade not helping them. I mean check the scores of their games. They are making teams’ offenses look horrible. This team is all-around the best in my opinion. And to think they made the AFC Championship game, one possession away from the Super Bowl, with a far less talented roster, it’s definitely scary hours for the league.
For the Ravens, I’m not a huge fan of this trade. I do believe they could have got something better for Smith, but time will tell. I do love that they get another 1st-round pick. And they also do get some young talented guys.
