The week 1 matchup I will be sure to tune into is the Vikings vs Dolphins. The Vikings come off a great season that was hindered by a first-round exit. The Vikings started the season strong, showcasing a great offense. Then rookie, Jalen Milroe, showed that he had superstar potential immediately. Wide Reciever, “Mcmillions”, who won NFC OROTY and OPOTY, also showed that he is already up there with the best wide receivers in our game. There was a point in time when we believed that the Vikings would make the NFC Championship game, but they slowly started to show some cracks in their shield. The defense was a huge weakness, but it was their offense that really disappointed in the playoffs.

Jalen Milroe and the Vikings’ offense looked completely different in the Wildcard Round. Maybe it was due to the lack of playoff experience, but either way, that was not how they planned on the season ending. And in the offseason, the Vikings realized that they must make some improvements to win the tough NFC North once again. They would trade Eric Guyton and two 2nd-Round picks to the Colts for Jonathan Taylor. Jonathan Taylor is arguably the best running back in the league. He was a huge reason why the Colts were able to make two AFC Championship games in a row. Some would say he was the reason. Now being on the Vikings, he will take this offense from great to unstoppable. This should be a fun season for the Vikings full of highlight plays. And the fun will start tonight against the Miami Dolphins.

The Dolphins made some great moves to secure the #1 and #3 pick in the NFL draft. With their #1 pick, they would select Zachariah Branch. As the NFL draft drew closer, many teams started to make calls to try to trade up in the draft to select the USC superstar. After trading away Tyreek Hill, it was clear where the Dolphins would go in the draft. And with their #3 pick, they would get some much-needed help on the offensive line by selecting Kadyn Proctor. The Dolphins have improved throughout the season and have shown that they can compete. Last season, they showed how good they can be by beating the Panthers, a team that needed a win to get into the playoffs. The Dolphins would spoil the Panthers’ hopes and prove that it really is an Any Given Sunday type of league. The Dolphins believe that J.J. McCarthy is their franchise quarterback and tonight he has the chance to prove them right.
